Life has become even more chaotic for soon to be Christchurch based singer/songwriter Katie Thompson.

The go-getter self-financed her debut album & fan-funded her second album via online platform Sellaband and is back on the funding trail for her latest project.

She hopes to raise $15,000 through indiegogo.com to record a live EP with noted producer Greg Haver at the new Quicksand Recording Studios in Christchurch mid November. The funds raised will go towards studio time, musicians, mixing, mastering, manufacturing & promotion.

Since the release of her last album Impossible, Thompson has appeared on The Breakfast Show, opened for Sir Elton John at his only New Zealand concert at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin and was nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the Country Music Awards 2012. Katie will be heading on a national tour with fellow musician Fleur Jack in December after completing a successful south island tour.

With titles such as “Should’ve Said No” & “One Night Stand” the EP promises to be a little naughty but always nice and Katie is giving fans of her music the opportunity to be a part of the process.

For as little as $5 digital downloads can be ordered & for $25 personally signed copies of the EP can be pre-purchased. Jump up to $600 and you can come along to the studio to be a part of the process or even choose the house concert perk for $1,000.
